MEET OUR BOARD
Mark Perkins, President Born and raised on the Jersey shore, Mark lived and worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley before retiring in 2018 and moving to St Petersburg to play with the Half Century Club, and to be closer to his wife, Sue's, family. He enjoys playing and watching all sports, particularly sailing and ultimate Frisbee.
Kip Kedersha, Vice President
Born in Short Hills, NJ, Kip is an avid baseball fan and grew up cheering for the Yankees in the Bronx. He spent most his working life in radio and television and later became one of the original YouTube creators and is now a Fan Host for the Tampa Bay Rays. He loves baseball, the great outdoors, billiards and all things tech. Now in his 16th year with the Club, Kip is married to his wife, Deb and has three grandchildren.
Bob Markov, Treasurer
Originally from Chicago, Bob moved to St. Pete in 1977. He graduated from St. Pete High and Stetson University. Bob and his wife Sharon have been married since 1993 and have two kids, Austin and Sofia. He spent 24 years in banking and now manages rental property. He enjoys outdoor activities to include biking, pickleball and paddleboarding. He joined the Club in 2019.
Bob Gould, Secretary
Born in Chicago, and an avid Cubs fan, he met his wife, Lisa, in Louisville, Kentucky and they moved to Safety Harbor in 1996. They have three children who are all, huge sports fans. Bob coached girls softball for 13 years and was on the Safety Harbor Little League board of directors for many years. Bob & Lisa moved to St. Pete in 2018 and he retired from a career in marketing technology in 2022. He joined the Club in April of 2022, and enjoys biking, pickleball and travel.
Brian Herzig, Executive Board Member
Brian was born in Cleveland Ohio and met his wife, Peggy, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1978. After living in the New York City, Washington DC, and Los Angeles metropolitan areas, they fell in love with the West Coast of Florida and moved here in 1988. Three children and three grandchildren keep them busy, along with boating, tennis, water skiing, traveling and listening to live music.
Richard Scearce, Executive Board Member
Richard was born in Durham, NC. After spending much of his childhood on a farm in rural Virginia, he returned to NC to attend Elon College. He worked as a research scientist at Duke Medical Center for 40 years, retiring in 2019. Richard enjoys Duke basketball, Rays baseball as well as traveling and biking with his wife, Pamela.
Joel McAllister, Executive Board Member
Joel was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. He began serving our country as an Army Ranger in the 3rd Ranger Battalion and then continued to serve our county as a Deputy United States Marshal in Washington DC and Jacksonville, FL. He returned to St. Petersburg in 2019 to finish out his career and retire in the city he loves. He now works part-time as a DOD contractor and enjoys running, sports and spending time with his wife (Melissa), son (Darren), and German Shepherd (Xena).
Gerard Humphreys, Executive Board Member
Originally from Hicksville, NY., Gerard served 4 years in the US Marine Corps. and then spent 25+ years as a Corrections Officer for the Nassau County, NY Sheriff’s Department. Gerard retired as a Correction Captain in 2014 and moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2016, and St. Petersburg in 2021. He has a daughter in college in NY and is a lifelong NY Mets fan. He enjoys traveling & visiting major and minor league baseball stadiums whenever he can.
